Beginning with the 2020-2021 Pre Season Friendlies Woodbridge Town will be using the Veo Camera system to record their matches this year.
The camera, which features two 4K lenses, is mounted to a tripod on the halfway line and films a full 180 degree view of the match- all without a cameraman!
Lockdales Auctioneers have provided the camera which has already been used for both the First Team and Ladies friendly matches. Managing Director and Club Chairman, Dan Daley said 'It will be good for the players, managers and supporters alike'. The camera can be set up for multiple teams throughout the club, not just the first team.
As well as footage being used for Woodpecker TV to provide highlights for the supporters, the Managers and Coaches can also login to the system and watch the game again. They can then create their own highlights and alert players to notes they have made about a passage of play. Dave Bowman commented 'the system allows coaches to see the whole pitch enabling us to zoom in and view formations both with and without possession. It will also allow us to monitor individual player movement whether they have the ball or not.'
'It's going to be so beneficial to refer back to footage with players so that we can work together in training on specific areas' Said Glenn Snell who welcomes the additional coaching tool.
