 Wroxham 0 Woodbridge Town 1

Matt Mackenzie's second half unstoppable effort clinched a well deserved three points for the Woodpeckers who dominated the second half and deserved to win by a bigger margin against their fourth placed opponents at the start of play. Both young keepers were outstanding and looking unbeatable until Mackenzie's shot proved the difference.

Chris Skipper's shot went inches wide of the post after 5 minutes and after 8 minutes Pete Wiltshire's shot from close range was pushed over the bar for a corner by away keeper Alfie Stronge. Mackenzie's shot was well parried by home keeper Connor Milligan after 16 minutes and Stronge punched away former Norwich player Simon Lappin's free kick after 23 minutes. Former Ipswich skipper Carlos Edwards' accurate pass after 28 minutes was met by Ryan Keeble and Milligan again denied the Woodpeckers with a great save. Joe Keeley's cross was well blocked by Stronge after 43 minutes but all square at half time.

Aaron Churchyard's pass after 48 minutes found Mackenzie and his shot from 20 yards was brilliantly turned onto the bar by Milligan. Edwards' cross after 56 minutes found Mackenzie but his shot missed the target and on the hour Callum Sinclair's effort was again well saved for a corner by Milligan. Edwards' shot from distance went just over the bar and Cruise Nyadzayo's shot from close range was parried by Stronge after 71 minutes. The Woodpeckers took a deserved lead when Sinclair's pass found Mackenzie and his shot with some velocity beat Milligan. Keeble's cross was well held by the busy Milligan after 77 minutes. Kieran Smith's right wing cross was well held by Stronge just before full time but a excellent team display from the Woodpeckers for a hard fought win on a difficult pitch.
