An excellent win for the Woodpeckers as they played their fourth game in six days!!

Both teams fielded weakened sides but the scoreline could have been bigger but for several fine saves from visiting keeper Macauley Rodgers. A third-place finish is still possible with one league match to play.
Josh Osborne's pass after 10 minutes found Kelsey Trotter and from his flick on Jamal Wiggins' effort tested Rodgers. Kian Whyte's cross was well held by home keeper Alfie Stronge after 18 minutes. Andy Crowe's shot was cleared off the line after 21 minutes and Trotter was clean through but after rounding the keeper his shot went wide. Adam Laker's effort from 20 yards was held by Stronge after 31 minutes and the away defence cleared off the line again, this time from Trotter's header after 41 minutes.
Substitute Panashe Munpanarara's shot from the right wing was parried by Rodgers and from the rebound Callum Sinclair opened the scoring after 49 minutes. Crowe's penalty after a foul on Sinclair was brilliantly pushed onto the post by the busy Rodgers but after 61 minutes Munpanarara provided his second assist and his cross found Luke Taylor and he doubled the home sides lead. Taylor Southgate's shot after 66 minutes tested Rodgers and after 73 minutes Owen Broom's header was on target. Rodgers denied Trotter and Crowe with a double save after 78 minutes.
An entertaining second half in particular with Substitute appearances for several young players and all did well, with many of the first team squad injured after a punishing end of season schedule.
