Woodbridge Town to enter development side into the SIL in 2026/27

Woodbridge Town Football Club is delighted to announce plans to enter a Development Side into the Suffolk & Ipswich League (SIL) from the 2026/27 season onwards, pending approval from the league committee. As part of this exciting step, we are now inviting applications for the position of Manager for this team. This role will oversee a pre-established squad, supported by a dedicated team of coaches. We’re seeking a manager passionate about player development and committed to supporting the club’s long-term player pathway.

Ongoing Duties

· Uphold the high standards set out in Woodbridge Town FC’s Code of Conduct.

· Ensure the safety and welfare of all players and staff.

· Delegate responsibilities effectively among coaching staff.

· Liaise with the club treasurer regarding player payments.

· Manage player signings and transfers in coordination with the Development Manager, Director of Football & Club Secretary.

· Build a reliable, committed, and ambitious squad with potential to progress through the club pathway.

· Collaborate with Development Manager, Director of Football & senior management on player development and injury rehabilitation.

· Foster strong working relationships across all areas of the club (e.g., kit, grounds, admin).

· Promote a unified “One Club, Our Club” culture.

· Work closely with the Director of football, Development Manager & management board to plan and coordinate each season.

· Attend and support club social and community events.

Matchday Responsibilities

· Ensure players are informed of match details (arrival times, locations, etc.).

· Maintain professional presentation standards for all staff on and off the pitch.

· Oversee kit and equipment collection post-match.

· Manage player and staff discipline.

· Complete all matchday paperwork, reports, and administrative tasks.
