Woodbridge Town are back in action tonight as they welcome Haverhill Rovers to the Homestyle UK Ground. This is a rearranged fixture from earlier in the season, meaning tonight will be Pay What You Wish on the gate! Both sides will be hoping to take every point possible at this stage in the season, and tonight’s rearranged clash presents another opportunity to claim three points. The Peckers are in for a tough test, but will believe they can take something away from the Rovers who are pushing for promotion.

The Woodpeckers most recently fell to a 4-0 defeat away at Fakenham, where a second half collapse saw the Ghosts score four after a level game at the break. No game last weekend means Woodbridge have had time to reflect and prepare for another difficult game this evening, looking to bounce back impressively. It seems Fakenham are haunting everyone at the moment, as Haverhill also lost to the Ghosts 3-1 on Saturday. Before that, the Rovers had won 5 in a row and were scoring goals for fun.

One of those recent wins for Haverhill was the only meeting between the two sides so far this campaign - where the Peckers were embarrassed 8-3 on the road. It was a long afternoon for the lads, but it certainly doesn’t represent the ability of this team. Woodbridge have a good chance to redeem themselves in this game by putting up a much better fight against the visitors, whilst the Rovers will want a repeat of that February fixture.

The last two home games for Woodbridge have been victories, in which Ryan Marsh netted in both fixtures. Mark Ray will be hoping to continue building his tally, whilst Webb and Field are both closing in on double digits for the season. The Peckers will need to be much better defensively, and hope their attacking firepower can hurt the Haverhill backline.

Rovers have plenty of threats, most notably top goalscorer Jarid Robson, who’s netted 24 goals so far this campaign - four of which came in the win against Woodbridge a month ago. Thomas Thulborn has put up a good return with 12 goals this season, and Thomas Stoker the other player to watch out for with 11 goals in 14 games.

We appreciate all your support for the team this season, through the highs and the lows. With recent form seeing Woodbridge rise to 11th, there’s plenty of opportunities to end this campaign in a very positive position. Let’s keep backing Chris, Liam and the team for every game left and, as always, UP THE PECKERS!
