The Jockeys pulled away in the last quarter of an hour to defeat the Peckers in the FA Vase Trophy.

The Jockeys pulled away in the last quarter of an hour to book their place in the next round where they will make the trip to Downham.

The home side applied pressure from the off but it was Woodbridge an early lead as Kade Ivatt expertly diverted home a scuffed shot from Evan Bolt.

Alfie Stronge in the Peckers then kept out efforts from Jordan Foster and Jake Eady. However, the visitors could have gone further ahead when Taylor Southgate advanced only to miss the target.

Josh Lee squared matters just before the half hour converting after his original effort came back off the bar.

Brosnan Jarrett then restored the Peckers' advantage when he cut in from the left and drove into the bottom corner after two home defenders collided when trying to clear. However, the outstanding Ryan Cole drilled home from a short corner to level up for Newmarket almost immediately.

Ali Conway then had two further chances to put the hosts in front only for Stronge to block the first and the second wasside footed wide.

After the break Cole's powerful free-kick was pushed out into the path of Jockeys skipper Tom Williams who made it 3-2 to the hosts.

Cole then slid in at the back post after some great football but his effort bounced off the surface and on to the bar.

Woodbridge then had a good spell and were rewarded when Taylor Southgate levelled again after Newmarket keeper Ben Newton failed to claim a Bolt corner.

Ali Conway restored the Newmarket lead on 75 minutes curling home after being set up again by Cole and then Lee crashed home a 20 yarder into the top corner for their fifth.

Debutant Callum Harrison completed the scoring in added time converting a Cole cross at the back post.
