Taylor Made For Woodbridge

Taylor Southgate has signed a contract to keep him with Woodbridge until the summer of 2023, with an option to extend.

Taylor Southgate with Chairman, Adam Dalby

Taylor has impressed again this season with his consistent impressive performances, already making 30 appearances, more than any other player this term. He'll want you to know he's also chipped in with 3 goals too.

This great news follows hot on the heels of Mark Ray signing his contract a few days earlier so we ask current club chairman, Adam Dalby, what had triggered an offer of a contract?

"Taylor has always shown incredible commitment to Woodbridge over the years and this is our way of showing our commitment to him"

"He's a fantastic player and an even better character. Retaining talented players such as Taylor is the key to achieving the clubs ambitions now and in the future."

It's been some time since the club has had players on contracts. With 2 announcements in as many days what's the reason behind the contract for Taylor and Mark? "The contract developments are all about stability and ambition; Stability for the squad and for our incoming first team manager and the ambition we have for next season and beyond. "

Adam went on "Having a core of players under contract gives a sense of security and allows us to build a nucleus within the squad. It's truly exciting for next season and beyond."

"I'd like to thank Taylor for joining the journey!"
