SWAFFHAM TOWN 2 WOODBRIDGE TOWN 3 (HT 2-2)

Woodbridge Town fought back from being a goal down twice in the first half and gained their second league win on the trot on a difficult playing surface at Shoemakers Lane as Nick Ingram scored his fourth goal in six games. A Kyron Andrews' header and an excellent strike from Taylor Southgate in the second half clinched the three points for the Woodpeckers.

Nick Davey's effort was deflected for a corner after 3 minutes but the Pedlars took the lead after 10 minutes when Nick Castellan's curling shot hit the top corner of the net to make it 1-0. Southgate's through ball after 13 minutes was met by Ingram and he made no mistake and it was 1-1. Castellan's accurate corner was headed wide by Kieran Shipp after 16 minutes but the hosts again took the lead after 19 minutes when after a foul by Liam Scopes inside the area, Castellan stepped up to score his second with the Penalty to make it 2-1. George Bowman's corner was headed back by Southgate after 32 minutes and then headed home by Andrews and 2-2 at the break.

Bowman's free kick was deflected wide after 56 minutes but Southgate's sublime finish from the edge of the area after 64 minutes gave the Woodpeckers the lead. Jack Prentice's header hit the bar after 72 minutes and from the rebound Dale Hammond cleared off the line to keep the lead intact. Substitute Billy Clark's audacious effort from distance after 79 minutes failed to trouble home keeper Dan Smith and Billy Smith's shot was parried for a corner by away keeper Alfie Stronge after 84 minutes. Mark Ray's effort was well blocked by the home defence and Andy Crowe's lob missed the target but the Woodpeckers held on for the win.

WOODBRIDGE TOWN 1 WHITTON UNITED 4 (HT 0-2)

A deserved away win in the local derby for the visitors in the Woodpeckers last match before Lockdown 2. The home side lost in form forward Nick Ingram with a Hamstring injury early in the game in a night to forget.

Remi Garrett opened the scoring after 6 minutes as he brilliantly controlled the ball with his first touch and finished with aplomb to make it 1-0. Mydas Small's cross was well held by home keeper Alfie Stronge after 8 minutes but a minute later it was 2-0 when after a quick break, Owen Betts' fired past Stronge and a nightmare start for the Woodpeckers. Liam Scopes' header was cleared off the line on the half hour and from Captain Sean Rea's cross just before the break it just failed to find a black and White shirt.

Ben Garnham's cross after 62 minutes found Taylor Southgate and his shot missed the target for the home side. Garrett scored his second after 68 minutes with an excellent curling shot from 20 yards and it was 3-0. Garrett's free kick after 84 minutes tested Stronge and Away Substitute George Day's free kick was well parried by Stronge and in the last minute after a poor pass, away Right Back Lloyd Clarke pounced and controlled well before shooting past Stronge to make it 4-0 and celebrated with a Triple Somersault. The Woodpeckers pulled a goal back in the last seconds when Mark Ray was fouled inside the area and the Striker stepped up to beat away keeper Jack Spurling and it was 4-1.
