WOODBRIDGE TOWN 3 HADLEIGH UNITED 1 (HT 1-0)
Woodbridge Town took the 3 points in the local derby with Taylor Southgate, Luke Mallett and Ryan Keeble hitting the target.
Callum Sinclair's effort was well saved by away keeper Nick Punter after 5 minutes and a minute later Dan Hammett's shot missed the target for the visitors. Southgate's pass after 19 minutes was met by Keeble and his shot tested Punter. Ex-woodpecker Mason Ransome's shot was deflected for a corner after 32 minutes. Punter denied Mallett and Keeble with superb saves but after 44 minutes dropped the ball from a corner, Southgate was first to the rebound to make it 1-0 at the break.
Hammett's cross from the right wing was met by Ransome and his shot beat home keeper Finlay Shorten on the half volley and it was 1-1 after 53 minutes. Sinclair was fouled by Jemel Fox inside the area on the hour and Mallett made no mistake with the penalty to make it 2-1. The dangerous Ransome's free kick after 66 minutes was blocked for a corner but the Woodpeckers increased their lead after 70 minutes when Keeble swooped on a rebound and it was 3-1. George Bowman's shot after 78 minutes just missed the target and in the last minute Mallett's cross was headed on target by Southgate.

FAKENHAM TOWN 1 WOODBRIDGE TOWN 0 (HT 0-0)
The Ghosts deserved their win against the Woodpeckers as Callum Brain's second half effort was the difference between the two sides. Kelsey Trotter made his return to the away side but they couldn't create any clear-cut chances to force an equaliser in the latter stages.
Mitch Rasberry's cross from the right wing found Jake Watts but his shot from close range went wide of the post after 5 minutes and after 10 minutes Callum Sinclair's cross was blocked for a corner for the away side. Sinclair's pass after 18 minutes found Ryan Keeble and his effort tested home keeper Tom Coombe but after 20 minutes the hosts missed a gilt-edged chance when Watts found himself clean through but shot wide of the post. Watts again found himself with only the keeper to beat but away keeper Finlay Shorten got a hand to the ball as the striker went down inside the area as the home side appealed for a spot kick after 43 minutes but no goals at half time.
Jack Guyton's effort missed the target after 53 minutes and for the Woodpeckers Keeble's shot also failed to test Coombe after 57 minutes. Ash Jarvis' powerful shot was well parried by Shorten after 65 minutes and after a Mazy run by Watts' his shot went over the bar after 75 minutes but a minute later from Jarvis' accurate pass Brain's half volley beat Shorten to clinch the three points in an uneventful second half.
