LOASS 4 WOODBRIDGE TOWN 4

Woodbridge Town travelled to Walthamstow in East London for a friendly game against Leyton Orient Advanced Soccer School (LOASS) U14's side as the away side prepare for a season in the newly formed Eastern Junior Alliance.
It was Woodbridge that made the early running with Tom Driscoll having a shot cleared off the line, Reg Egerton then put a header over the bar as Woodbridge pressed. They raced into a two goal lead with two fine strikes from Tom Driscoll. Matt Stevens in the Woodbridge goal then made a fantastic double save. It was then 3-0 to Woodbridge as Ryan Wardley's corner drifted straight into the goal possibly helped by a very strong wind and just before half time Reg Egerton scored after a great through ball from Lewis Robinson to put Woodbridge 4-0 up at the break.
Woodbridge Manager Chris King made eight changes to give all his players a decent run out and it was tough for Woodbridge in the second half as Orient had the very strong wind at their backs and they made it pay by scoring four times as the game finished all square which was probably a fair result.
A buffet was then supplied for the Woodbridge team and free tickets for the League One game between Leyton Orient and Walsall were also supplied this offer was taken up by 20 of the Woodbridge party. We then headed to Brisbane Road to see Orient defeat Walsall 1-0 in a hard fought game to stay top of the league; this was a very generous offer by Leyton Orient and was much appreciated by the Woodbridge squad who had a really enjoyable day out.
