| The Woodbridge under 9s
Sunday team have this weekend become the second division
league champions. The newly formed team, who have
remained unbeaten this season, clinched the title by
beating their closest rivals Moreton Hall 3-0 and now
sit 10 points clear with two games to play.
During the league season the team have
scored 93 goals and conceded just four with the total
goal tally including cup games now exceeding 150.
A feature of the teams performances
has been the consistently high standard of football that
has been played and every single member of the squad has
contributed fully to what has been a tremendous first
season together. The boys have played a style of
football that belies their age and have clearly enjoyed
playing together.
Focus now shifts to cup competitions
as Woodbridge have reached the final of the League
Knockout cup and are in the semi final of the County
Open Cup.
Well done lads and keep up the good
work |
