STYLISH WIN AT LAWFORD

The coming seasons under 9s Sunday team kicked off their pre season campaign with a stylish win at the Lawford Juniors 5 a side competition in Essex.

After just two training sessions, 6 members of the newly formed squad went through the tournament with a 100% record, finding the net 19 times in their 6 games and only conceding a single goal in the final. Everyone contributed fully to the success of the squad with every outfield player scoring at least three goals. Josh Moore, Dan Hanson, and Kieran Turner made it a nightmare afternoon for the oppositions defences with their pace and movement. George Bowman, and Josh Hitter controlled the pace of the games from their deep lying positions, and Nathan Thurlow was his usual calming presence between the sticks. Most importantly the team bonded and played increasingly impressively as the day wore on. The quality of the possession football the boys played bodes extremely well for the coming season in the Ipswich and District league.
