Woodbridge Town 5 Framlingham Town 0
Wednesday 12th December 2007
Despite freezing conditions & the pitch only being passed fit to play shortly before kick-off, Woodbridge Town’s Under 18s produced another display of patient passing & lively attacking play on their way to a comfortable victory over Framlingham.
.

Woodbridge gave a 50 minute run-out to 1st team attacker BEN SEAMAN, who had been injured for two months & he fired the home team into a 2-0 lead inside 16 minutes.
Firstly, he finished off a flowing move instigated by James Wright & Danny Tatum with a left footed drive & quickly followed this up with a stunning right foot curler after Craig Jennings had outpaced the Framlingham defence to cross to the far post. CRAIG JENNINGS grabbed the 3rd goal himself before half-time when he took advantage of some cool defensive work from Carl Widdowson & a defence-splitting pass from James Churchill to muscle his way into the penalty area & smash his shot past the keeper.

There were two further goals in the 2nd half as 15 year old JORDAN SEAMAN, who had replaced his older brother, Ben, smashed in the loose ball after a scramble following a corner before outpacing the defence & squaring for DANNY TATUM to score from close range following a well-timed run from midfield.

At the other end Lewis Rhodes enjoyed a quiet evening, while Grant Salisbury & James Fulker made the most of rare appearances with solid performances as the defence achieved a clean sheet!

Team: Rhodes, Fulker, Kempson, Wright (Ambrose 56), Salisbury, Widdowson, Churchill, Webster, Jennings (Lawrence 50), Tatum & B Seaman (J Seaman 50)

There is now a break from Ridgeons League action until the new year although the Eastern Junior Alliance team will be hoping to put the disastrous 7-0 defeat at Hullbridge to rest at Debenham this coming Sunday.
