Woodbridge Town XI 7-0 Bacton
Six past Bacton in the second half for Woodbridge
gave them a comfortable 7-0 win after going into the
break one up. Bacton played a defensive game with
several players back behind the ball and making it
hard for Woodbridge to get a crack at goal. But
after fifteen minutes of play Jamie Smith found the
back of the net with a clean strike two yards
outside the 18 yard box after being left unmarked.
Second half and with Bacton slowing up Woodbridge
went on the attack. Six minutes into the restart and
after some good work from Callum Scott Woodbridge
found the net again through Stephen Seabrook after
Bacton failed to clear the ball. Alex Scott added
another to the score; two minutes later when Smith
broke free and ran through squaring the ball across
the goal line for Scott to first touch finish a yard
out.

causing plenty of problems for Bacton. Lewis Jimpson
with a good taken penalty made it four with ten
minutes to go. Seabrook added another two for his

finish from inside the six yard box from a

Hadleigh 0-5 Woodbridge Town XI
Woodbridge Town X1 under 12's travelled away to
Hadleigh in their first match of the New Year and
came away well-deserved winners as they put in an
excellent show of football. Woodbridge got off to a
good start going ahead after only three minutes when
defender Harrison Rodgers worked his way down wing
and with a great cross left Jamie Smith to head
home. As the opening half continued Woodbridge were
seeing plenty of the ball and with five minutes of
first half play remaining Ben Hunter after some
excellent work spotted Smith unmarked on the edge of
the 18 yard box and with plenty of time Smith struck
and finished with ease.
Going into the final minute and on another break
Teddy Cooper with an excellent cross found Thomas
Spurling free to finish for Woodbridge's third as
they went into the
break.
Second half saw yet more great football from
Woodbridge as they passed the ball around freely.
Woodbridge keeper Kyle Thorpe had little to do in
the second half and never even got to touch the ball
in the first as Woodbridge's defence put in another
good performance. Midway through the half Smith with
a cross in after a run down the wing allowed Issac
Warren to shoot from six yards out only to hit the
post but was able to finished the rebound.
Woodbridge's fifth came from a corner when Lewis
Cowie found the head of Callum Scott with a
well-deserved headed after a great game controlling

League fixture
Woodbride Town XI 3-0 Witnesham
Woodbridge’s Town XI last game of the year and a
cold one but also a good one as they saw off
Witnesham Wasps in this Saturday morning league
fixture.
Woodbridge mainly kept Witnesham in their own half
in the opening half of this match. A header from
George Exworth early in the half from a Lewis
Jimpson corner went narrowly wide but in the
twentieth minute of play Woodbridge had a Jimpson
corner deflected in by one of their own players to
give Woodbridge a one nil lead as they went into the
break.
Second half and Witnesham never really troubled
Woodbridge as Woodbridge's midfield and defence were
working well. A crossed ball in from Teddy Cooper on
the right connected with the head of Stephen
Seabrook to give Woodbridge a two nil lead.
Woodbridge were now looking comfortable and as the
match closed to an end Woodbridge had time for a
third after yet another excellent ball in from
Cooper which was flicked
on by Jamie Smith landed at the feet of Issac Warren
to finish with ease, and to round off Woodbridge's
year with a decent win.
Whitton 0- 8
Woodbridge Town X1
League game 12/11/12
Woodbridge Town XI visited Whitton and on not the
best of playing surfaces came away with a
comfortable win.
Woodbridge got off to a good start going ahead after
four minutes when Tyler Howell lifted the ball high
over the keeper and into the Whitton goal.
Woodbridge started seeing a lot of the ball and were
moving it around the pitch freely, but it took until
the twentieth minute before Woodbridge got a second
from Jamie Smith when Lewis Cowie put him through on
goal with a lovely pass. Cowie himself made it three
when Whitton gave away a free kick on the edge of
the box, Cowie finished with the help of a
deflection from a Whitton defender. Howell made it
four minutes later after dribbling round a couple of
players and finishing from a tight angle. Smith
rounded of the half just before the break with his
second chipping the keeper in a one on one.
Woodbridge's defence worked well throughout the half
as well as Isaac Warren having a good match on the
wing.
Second half it was all Woodbridge, Whitton defended
better this half but were always under pressure,
Howell grabbed his hat-rick midway through the half
leaving Warren to add two later goals, the second a
lovely finished strike.

this second round cup fixture. Woodbridge were
always favourites to win this match and they did,
but Debenham never gave up and fought right up until
the final whistle. Credit to them all. Debenham held
off Woodbridge for about fifteen minutes before the
stream of goals started. George Exworth saw two
headers go wide both from corners before Tyler
Howell opened the score for Woodbridge on the
fifteenth minute mark with Callum Scott making it
two with a great solo effort five minutes later.
Woodbridge were now passing the ball around well and
keeping the Debenham defence busy. Jamie Smith came
off the bench late in the half and added two goals
in quick succession. Harrison Rogers and Lewis Cowie
with a tap in rounded off a good first half.
Second half and it was all Woodbridge again, but as
the goals continued to go in one after the other,
Debenham kept battling on. Liam Brunning with a
diving header made it seven with Mason Ransome
lifting the ball over the keeper from the wing for
his first and adding a second minutes later. Thomas
Spurling and Lewis Jimpson both scored a goal a
piece. Stephen Seabrook made it twelve after a goal
mouth scramble leaving Cowie to round off

match.

League Game 15/10/11
A well deserved win for Woodbridge saw them take
home all three points in their away visit to
Framlingham. Woodbridge put in an outstanding
performance against Fram who are always a tough side
to play against. Woodbridge got off to a good start
with an early goal from Lewis Jimpson in the eight
minute of play lobbing the Fram keeper from the half
way line after catching him off his line. Woodbridge
dominated the play and closed down Fram very quickly
as they tried to level up. Callum Scott saw a great
effort strike the post but five minutes from time

and finishing with ease.

a goal in the third minute of the restart from Lewis

some good build up play from his team mates. Liam
Brunning made it four with a shot from a tight
angle. There was no way back for Fram now as
Woodbridge continued to pass the ball around freely
and create plenty more chances. Tyler Howell added a
brace with two fine finishes midway through the half
leaving Ben Hunter to make it seven five minutes
from time. A good performance from Woodbridge's
defence Teddy Cooper, Harrison Rogers, Mason Ransome,
George Exworth and Jimpson saw Fram only have one
effort on goal, a free kick in the first half which
went narrowly wide.

League Game: 08/10/11
Woodbridge wrapped up this match in the second half
with a flurry of goals after going into the break
0-1 up after an excellent goal from Lewis Jimpson
who scored from just outside the box putting the
ball high into the roof of the goal well out of the
Holbrook keepers reach after a short corner.
After seeing numerous shots missed in the first
half, second half was a different story. Isaac
warren started the run of goals within two minutes
of the restart. Tyler Howell added another 3 minutes
later from the spot after a hand ball. Woodbridge
were now cruising and soon had the ball in the back
of the net again with a second from Warren.
Holbrook's defence were now struggling with
Woodbridge's constant attack. Midway through the
second half and there was no stopping Liam
Brunning's thunder bolt strike from just outside the
box as Woodbridge went 5 nil up. In the final
fifteen minutes Howell added another and Warren with
another two well deserved goals as Woodbridge
finished comfortably.

working well together as Bacton fought to get
something out of this match, but ten minutes into
the restart Smith again completed his hat-rick with
Woodbridge fourth. As Woodbridge battled on Liam
