CRC displayed a master class in
finishing condemning Woodbridge to their
heaviest home defeat in seven years. |
|
As early as the first minute CRC
skipper Blaine Hudson gave the visitors the lead
heading unchallenged from a corner kick past
Adam Wilson. Jack Eades converted a low cross
for their second and before a half hour had been
played Luke Berry at the second attempt smashed
a penalty kick past Wilson, who had saved the
first effort only to be penalised for moving
from his line.
In a ten minute spell early in the second half
CRC doubled their 0-3 half time advantage with
centre forward Adam Marriott recording a hat
trick, sending a well struck shot into the top
corner before twice capitalising on Woodbridge's
inept defending to take the ball calmly round
Wilson.
By contrast Woodbridge's finishing was woeful,
with the chances that fell to Aaron Churchyard
and Dan Morphew in the first half and Robbie
Smythe and half time substitutes Ben Goddard and
Jordan Seaman all failing to trouble CRC keeper
Martin Davies.
Woodbridge Team: Adam Wilson, Robbie Smythe, Ben
Miller, Tom Trevivian, Craig Stuart, Aaron
Churchyard, Liam Scopes (Sean Rea 65), Josh
Mayhew (Ben Goddard 46), Daniel Morphew (Jordan
Seaman 46), Marcus Josiah. |
