Mick Stockwell tried to match the visitors by opting for experience, utilising skipper Jamie Scales in a holding midfield role, meaning Ben Miller came back into the defence. Tony Boto was on the bench after returning from holiday.

After an even opening Justin Fox put Wroxham ahead after 12 minutes, curling home a free kick from 25 yards just inside Marcus Garnham's right-hand post.

The keeper had to be alert a minute later when Gary Gilmore played in Lee Gilman and Garnham blocked his close-range shot with his legs.

Woodbridge had another let off in the 17th minute when Paul Cook blazed wide after Gilman had seized on an underhit back pass by Jon Bickers to round Marcus Garnham and pull the ball back to the striker.

Paul Berry and Allicion Balke almost combined to play in Aaron Churchyard while at the other end Gilman flashed a header over the bar.

Woodbridge spurned their best chance of the half - and indeed of the match - in the 35th minute when Berry's astute pass inside the fill back sent Ben Seaman clear into the penalty area, but instead of shooting he tried to square to Blake and played the ball just behind him so that Blake could not make a clean connection and the chance went begging.

Five minutes later Gilman got behind the Woodpeckers' defence and rounded Marcus Garnham, but Ben Miller got back to turn his goal-bound effort away for a corner. From the resultant flag kick Graham Challen's far post header came back off the bar and the danger was cleared.

Cook then tried a sepculative 35-yard effort after getting goal-side of Miller but his effort bounced just wide of the goal and just before the interval Andy Key cut in from the right following a short corner but fired his shot right across the face of the Woodbridge goal.

Mick Stockwell made two changes at half time, with Arran Sheppard replacing Grant Monaghan, releasing Bickers into midfield, and Berry giving way to Boto. Berry had taken a blow to the head 10 minutes before half time in a challenge that saw visiting skipper Fox booked.

Just after Woodbridge made a third change - Lee O'Neill coming on for Paul Hart - Wroxham effectively kiiled off the tie when Danny White latched on to a loose ball, cut inside a defender and finished with a crisp shot into the bottom right-hand corner of the net.

Marcus Garnham parried a fierce drive by Gavin Pauling round the post in the 69th minute and two minutes later the keeper had to drop to his left to save a Challen header from a corner before Cook blazed over.

The final 20 minutes passed by with little or no goalmouth incident, with Bickers a virtual passenger up front after being injured in a heavy challenge as Woodbridge's interest in the FA Cup ended for another season.
