| Stowmarket hit for six in pre season warm up |

| WOODBRIDGE Town
turned on the style at Greens Meadow, Stowmarket
in their first pre season friendly match scoring
twice in the opening ten minutes before
eventually scoring six without reply. |
| Woodbridge started
their pre season campaign missing a number of
first team squad members, as Club Captain Jamie
Scales and midfielder Ben Garnham were both
unwell and Jon Bickers and last seasons top
scorer Allicion Blake were away on holiday. |
| Paul Hart, making
his debut in midfield quickly made his presence
known to the band of travelling supporters from
Woodbridge by opening the scoring on eight
minutes with a low drive after being supplied a
perfect pass by Luke Read and two minutes later
turned he provider with a superbly flighted ball
finding Ben Seaman who produced an equally
superb half volley to finish the move. |
| Aaron Churchyard
had the simplest of finishes for Woodbridge's
third after his shot was parried by the Stowmarket
keeper and a minute before the break Lee O'Neill
made his amends for earlier firing over when one
on one with the keeper by shooting low into the
corner to give Woodbridge an impressive four
goal half time advantage. |
| Shortly into the
second period Woodbridge made four changes with
the experienced Tom Trevivian joining the
youthful trio of Jack Severy, Sean Rea and Liam
Hillyard and whilst the first 30 minutes of the
half saw Stowmarket stem the Woodbridge flow, the
tricky Ben Seaman demonstrated his qualities,
scoring the fifth on 75 minutes before supplying
the cross for Liam Hillyard to head in the sixth
from close range with five minutes
remaining. |
| Woodbridge
continue their pre season fixtures on Tuesday
31st July with a 7.45 kick off at Division One
